In this new episode of #FireEcology Chats, hear from Tegan Brown @tgn_brown about a study that explored the drivers of seasonal fluctuations in live fuel moisture content. #SNFECO@SpringerEcology https://t.co/UEkAKD8GYx
Amazing keynote by @elsa_pastor on women in wildfire research. Gender balance is slowly improving but at ~32% there is still a long way to go (as the โmanelโ at the opening of #icffr exemplified). Perhaps there is the need for an open, safe space to discuss practical next steps.
Great presentations (from an unbiased viewer...) from @tgn_brown on her work about canopy structure on fuel moisture content and @drgarysheridan presenting @asinbar work on soil co-evolution #ICFFR
Third chapter of my PhD is out in @fireecology - looking at live fuel moisture content (water + dry mass) in 3 plant functional types in Montana, USA. Enjoyed collaborating with @WMattJolly, @usfs_rmrs & @FCFCMontana on this one!

@Rachael_H_Nolan Thanks Rachael! Appreciate the huge body of work you (and others) are doing in the space - there are always lots of great papers to cite!
NEW PAPER: Very proud of this one, just don't ask me how many simulation hours it took ๐
We estimated the relative roles of climate-mediated changes on fire weather and fuel load and structure.
We applied the framework to six temperate forested landscapes in SE Australia.
