The Shiminami Kaido is what made me love biking again. 70km of fishing villages with orange stalls, huge factories and vending machines. And the constant shift between endless water and mountain valleys.
You can ride a bicycle
across six Japanese islands.
43 miles of ocean below you.
Six giant suspension bridges
built specifically for cyclists.
You start in Hiroshima.
You finish in Ehime.
Along the way:
sleepy fishing villages,
lemon farms,
soft-serve ice cream stands at every port,
the sea breeze in every direction.
Not a race.
Not a tour.
Just you, a bike,
and an entire chain of islands
the country built a road over
so anyone could see them.
It might be the best ride on Earth.
@1thousandfaces_ It's an unbelievable place. The most striking aspect for me was envisioning how much water this can hold at regular operation (indicated by the higher sign). When I visited it it felt unbelievably like a Half Life 2 map. I'm jealous of the people who get to walk those catwalks
@christopher Nothing beats Hetzner on price! But I think it lacks on the automation front compared to competitors, as I don't see it used for on the fly instances

@andrewgazelka I generally agree with the premise, given that terminals are notoriously inconsistent across systems, but I'd personally need sub 100ms startup times for my terminals (I treat them as pretty ephermal). I bet Ladybird or Webkit is capable of that with enough tweaking
A new ‘ADVENTURES OF TINTIN’ movie is officially happening.
Peter Jackson is currently writing the script with plans to direct the film himself.

@Nexuist@paularambles I just finished apartment hunting this week and I heard stories of people bidding on cheap studios because the realtors recieved too many applications
