@garyvee@nateS Our organization is revising money to provide these kids with clean drinking water. We are all volunteers- no one gets paid so all the money goes to the program. Kids in Choco Colombia need our help and yours https://t.co/OZ0SMRz4mI
One thing that makes the Global Schoolhouse curriculum stand alone, is the fact that it was created with a specific demographic in mind and with the focus of helping children build the skills they need to develop resilience.
We want to thank our partnering organization, Educate a Child International, and all that they do for the people of this community. Without these people who are eager to make the world a better place, our project would not be possible as it is a global collaboration. Thank you
We are working with a unique group of students that will not be studying in a structured environment. Our lessons can be taught by any instructor with their script-like presentation. This way, even if qualified instructors are not available, students can still continue learning.
Please meet Araari Gloria. She is 5 years old. She lives with a grandmother in Kasese and has no opportunity to go to school, so GSI was a welcome addition to her life. We hope that our program allows her to have a brighter future.
Children don't need to take lessons in any type of sequence, they can move freely btw lessons. This fluid methodology allows for a changing classroom from day to day. Children are never left learning the same thing over again if new students attend or if a new teacher is there.
The team at GSI is so incredibly proud to show you our first graduating class of 2019! They were not attending any school and now have a completion certificate from GSI which will increase their chances to get into the traditional school stream with their peers. Congrats kids!
Meet Nyangoma Patricia. She is almost 4 yrs. Her mom got pregnant very young relies on her family who are small scale farmers. She has no money so she was eager to send her kids in the GSI program, as it is offered at no cost to her, giving her kids a better life than she had.
Each grade level has a total of nine subject areas and we have produced four lessons for each subject area. Two lessons are from the content based theme, while two lessons are from the social emotional theme. While we have divided up the themes, many of them are also blended.
We are honored to introduce you to Masika Sharon. Her age is estimated at 10 years old. No one knows her parents whereabouts, so she lives with an old woman from the village. She enrolled into the GSI program to help her grow as a human being and have a better future.
