1/ harry truman - 33rd and 34th president of the united states. originally from missouri and close with his mother. joined the army in 1917, one of the only presidents with no college degree, first girlfriend declined to marry him.

8/ won his second term (first elected term) in 1948 and continued working on many of the same issues. cold war/h-bomb/communism. north korea invaded the south in 1950 and truman intervened with UN/US troops to stabilize, landed on the 38th parallel which mostly holds to this day.
