I feel like I should be tweeting more about Voice Acting stuff, like that should be "my brand", but tbh I'm happily working on that stuff privately, and I'll network more aggressively when I feel like I've cleared the prep work
@DanialtheLion You say that like you couldn't leave the crumbling ruin of Hyrule Market to go fishing or run an obstacle course at Lon Lon Ranch in Ocarina of Time.
There isn't any urgency in BotW b/c Hyrule already lost. The story is about acceptance and recovery; I don't think that's a flaw
@sebn3@wondermagenta Is a demo not constructed to give players an idea of what to expect?
If the beginning isn't a good indicator of the game, why not throw in a level from later in the game like DMC4 and 5's demos?
Why should someone unimpressed by the demo buy the full release on good faith?
@TheWolvesDen25 It's still an insanely fun game that I recommend if you're curious. But a couple tweaks would've bumped this game from an 8 to a 10 for me
@TheWolvesDen25 Like, if strafing was quicker to activate, or if subweapons stayed with you after death, or if enemies had slightly more hitstun, or were pushed back further once hit, or if boss hitboxes were slightly smaller; any single one of these qualities would make the game better imo.
@fortayee Yup!
Interview was MTL'd, so there's a margin for error. But generally, Luke's family has a bloody history than he indirectly suffers for, he's sheltered from the family's enemies, has a chip on his shoulder about the whole thing and projects an arrogant & boorish personality
Replaying Ace Attorney 3, and something I appreciate more about it now is how well the game hints at what evidence is going to be relevant for a given testimony without giving the answer away.
It's a difficult balance to strike but I think AA3 does it more often than the first 2
@deadplants_xyz@TheRedGoner I get what you're saying, and to an extent I agree. I just think FFXII is a funny example because the amount and quality of the side content informed my appreciation of the story, while most people seem to evaluate them separately
@KingGalactix Right, but my ultimate point is that playing for score in Sonic 3K specifically, while fun, is tertiary to playing for speed/time. You can't really build a community around score like you can for classic arcade games like Donkey Kong or Pac-Man.
@KingGalactix Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the bonus stages as an opportunity to change shields, get 1 ups, etc.
It's just that one of the stages is a literal slot machine for points lmao
