I think this would be great, but perhaps even greater would be to leverage the talent and resource of the diaspora right where they are. In this global age we need to be interconnected with the rest of the world. We have so much potential in the diaspora that isn’t being tapped
We will create a special program of reaching out to Zambia's best brains in different specialised fields serving in the diaspora, and encourage them to return home and help rebuild their country. All Zambians at home and abroad will stand together and repair the damage.

If there’s 1 thing I’ve realized during this #16DaysofActivism Against #GBV it’s that too many platforms that could actually reach a critical mass of people are completely silent. Mainstream media can do so much more to shift attitudes regarding violence against women #HearMeToo
As we commemorate #WorldAIDSDay, it’s important to note that we cannot succeed at preventing the spread of HIV or ensuring adherence to treatment without addressing violence against women. HIV is Sexist, more than 50% of people living with HIV globally are women #HearMeToo
Power dynamics are at the root of gender based violence. Creating an environment for women to have a choice and a voice will helps reduce their vulnerability. But the fight against #GBV cannot be won without transforming the attitudes of men. #HearMeToo
The theme of the 2018 #16DaysofActivism is very profound. What it means for our survivors is ..do not judge me…hear my story & listen to my cry #HearMetoo – So let’s do our part - Hon. Lady Justice Elizabeth Muyovwe @thelaunch of the Choma Fast Track #GVB Court.
It’s not always a stranger on the street (we will discuss that too). For many victims it’s someone they know, which makes the act more confusing to process, reinforcing power dynamics and leading to false feelings of guilt. This makes it more difficult to report #HearMeToo
From harassment to molestation and rape, these things are happening in our homes, our schools, places of work where women and girls expect to feel safe but are really not. The culture of silencing victims only gives more power to perpetrators of such violence #HearMeToo

Day2: I personally would like to focus on discussing #intimatepartnerviolence today as it is one of the most prevalent forms of #GBV. We’re shocked by the statistics on how many women die but we live in cultures that promote silence of victims. This needs to change #HearMeToo
The day a girl is married, her entire future is compromised. This #16Days of Activism, take a stand against child marriage. https://t.co/1ORu5TxHB0 #orangetheworld
How old were you when you found out that 38% of women murdered globally are murdered by an intimate partner? I only learned about this today and my heart sank. We have to #EndGBV#OrangetheWorld#HearMeToo
Day1: What is #GBV? UN defines it as as ‘any act that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty,...’ #OrangetheWorld#HearMeToo
This Sunday is the International Day to End Violence against Women, kicking off the #16Days of activism to end gender-based violence. We must all speak out and take action. https://t.co/3W4M1TaLEA #HearMeToo
#HearMeToo is a call to listen to and believe survivors, to end the culture of silencing and to put the survivors at the centre of the response. -- @UN_Women Executive Director @phumzileunwomen https://t.co/wLMEgwqSWK
From 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. #HearMeToo
