Almost half a million rand in cannabis products have been seized after two raids in Durban last night.

Members of the SAPS Economic Infrastructure Task Team and SAPS Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit - assisted by Excellerate K9 - targeted two stores.

One is the Herb Life shop on Florida Road, where officers allegedly found customers openly exchanging cash for cannabis.

A search uncovered various types of cannabis in different packaging, along with unidentified edibles lacking any invoice.

One suspect, who was serving customers at the till, was arrested for dealing in cannabis.

A second shop in Umhlanga was also hit, where all cannabis products found on the premises were seized.

The arrested man is due in court today.
