The ANC has lost its majority in the ailing Maluti-a-Phofung municipality which includes areas of Harrismith and QwaQwa. The party saw a massive decline in support from 67.4% to 39.2%. Map16, a group of ex ANC councillors received 20 seats. #LGE2021
In a historic first, the DA has won, outright, the municipality of uMngeni KZN, taking 13 of the council’s 25 seats.
This breakthrough victory in what has until now been an ANC stronghold.

Mangaung: 51% (-5)
eThekwini: 44% (-12)
Nelson Mandela Bay: 39% (-3)
Ekurhuleni: 38% (-10)
Tshwane: 34% (-7)
Johannesburg: 33% (-12)
Cape Town: 18% (-7)
