First-principles thinking for weighing in on controversial debates/posts should start with suffering and compassion. Where does the OP or commenter stand on human suffering and compassion? What I commonly see is that the OP/commenter tends to blame suffering on the opposition while holding compassion only for their own side, whereas I view suffering and compassion as something everyone shares.
To all dog lovers! A celebrity dog in China named Chutou was stolen from its owner, sold to a dog slaughterhouse for $34, killed, and eaten. The thief said he did nothing wrong...
That is just sad... I don't understand why people eat dogs. They are man's best friend. I had this happen to me as a kid. Fortunately, the guy was kind enough to understand how much our family loved the dog, and he gave it back.
Dog catchers snatching house pets to sell to a dog slaughterhouse is very common in countries like Vietnam, and the owners usually can't do anything about it. It is the dog-eating culture that I despise. I judge people by how they treat animals. If they mistreat something as kind and loyal as a house dog, how would they treat people? Obviously worse than the animal.
@mattpocockuk How is this even a debate? Md is obviously superior. It literally exists because of HTML's flaws. If humans don't want to stare at brackets, why are we pushing them on AI? This is how it starts... before you know it, we're all reusable batteries. And it's entirely our fault.
