Excited to be in Miami today — premiering our new film REVOLUTION’S DAUGHTER. Had a great time catching up with Billy Embody and his On the Pony Express podcast to talk about it and catch the Pony faithful up on aLL things Thaddeus film, we talked my Ukraine film SIRKO and the future of Pony Excess.
And I made sure to mention that REVOLUTION’S DAUGHTER has its Southwest Premiere at Dallas International Film Festival on the 26th at Texas Theater. Tix on sale now through the DIFF website.
Billy first interviewed me after Pony Excess came out his freshman year in college. Been a while. Enjoy!

Imagine calling this guy "unwatchable", while he's doing stuff like that in every game. Luka is the most entertaining player in the league. He's always gonna give you at least one wow moment in a game, where all you can say is, how did he do that.
Yeah you know I was a bigger Stars fan and I’ll go back to that — but for right now I am enjoying not having as much sports I feel compelled to watch
I very very specifically decided to take time away from the stars. I knew it was probably a 20-year thing but I wanted to see Luka Doncic’s entire career. I felt like he had the possibility to be one of the best ever and the possibility to win multiple championships
I wanted to experience what Bulls fans must have experienced that got a chance to watch most every game that Jordan played
I at least wanted to follow Luka through a championship or two before pulling back on the viewership and boy did I love every minute of the ecstasy and the agony! It was a really cool thing to sort of have that kind of viewing relationship with a young player and seeing them deal with what they dealt with. For a little bit last year I continued to watch him with the Lakers rather than watching the Mavs but I just didn't have the energy. I was too deflated
I’m never going to be over this. I haven’t watched a single Mavs game this season. And I really enjoyed the chance I got to watch Cooper Flagg in college
Make sure to submit yours to @DALLASIFF . A great time to be had by all! And, did you hear? They are Oscar qualifying now!
(But not in my category.)
The good people of DIFF have been my film family since my first tays in film. DIFF is a place for cinephiles and dreamers in the heart of Texas.
I (...left this window open to come back to this a few days later when I had a minute to think of something more clever and therefore did not "just") just submitted "REVOLUTION'S DAUGHTER" to Dallas International Film Festival via https://t.co/5nsYDkAUky! And you should too!
I am not a paid spokesperson.
Can we all agree that if Luka beats the Spurs tonight to become the 2nd seed in the West then he’s the MVP at this point in the season?
Leading the league in scoring and carrying a heavily injured & flawed team to the 2nd seed in the loaded Western Conference is simply insane.
Former Maverick Spencer Dinwiddie says he would’ve paid Luka Dončić instead of trading him, despite his defensive struggles.
“He’s the best offensive player in the world, I don’t give a shit what y’all talking about”

This was a great day. I was there. One week later I was at the Rose Bowl for the national championship while editing the bowl game section of the doc on that year’s team we did while making Pony Excess… the Hawaii Bowl’s crowd might have been sparse and the Rose Bowl packed, but the team experience pailed in comparison. This was one of my happiest moments in a football stadium … some of my emotions in this bonus video https://t.co/P0UsEiSIeG
