Just finished reading Our Violent Ends, the second book in @thechloegong ‘s 1920’s Shanghai Romeo and Juliet retelling. I knew what was coming but the way she told it was so original and unexpected. Heartbreakingly beautiful. Cannot recommend this series enough.
