SUBJECT: Indiana Tax Credits $555,000 given to foreign owned equity firm.

Cheryl and Ken, Republicans in bad Standing, discuss Centroid Investment Partners, a Korean private equity firm that purchased TaylorMade Golf in May 2022 and given tax credits in exchange of hiring an additional 50 employees by 2031.

The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership as a “subsidiary” of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation determined without public consultation, to forgo $555,000 in tax credits to reward an employer allegedly using TPS hires. The hires at TaylorMade are recruited through Adecco Staffing, yet another foreign owned company from Zurich, Switzerland.

The VANDERBURGH County, US Born citizen, is receiving no benefit from this “public-private-partnership”. In exchange for this Corporate welfare the “unelected officials” at E-REP get to virtue signal their ability to create “manufactured” economic development.

The local taxpayers will be paying for road improvements to accommodate large truck traffic entering and exiting the distribution center.

The agreement between the unelected bureaucrats at E-REP and TaylorMade are not available to taxpayers. Not even the Indiana State Board of Accounts are permitted to view the books. The Indiana Legislature intentionally exempted any oversight by Hoosiers.

@braun must finish the damn audit and be transparent with Hoosier resources entrusted to him.

The “economic development boards”, established through the IEDC, have been hijacked by special interests, known conflicts, and at the expense of Hoosier taxpayers. It’s such a grift.
