314 Action is a legit PAC that works to elect doctors and scientists. They sometimes also function as a pass thru vehicle for AIPAC.
VoteVets is a legit PAC that works to elect veterans. They sometimes also function as a pass thru vehicle for AIPAC.
CBC PAC is a legit PAC that works to elect Black Americans to Congress. They sometimes also function as a pass thru vehicle for AIPAC.
This practice is well documented and there are countless more examples. The key is the timing of the money movement. Which is what Drop Site's reporting uncovered and what the FEC record reflects.
This is a classic example of AIPAC shuffling their money through backchannels to hide the money trail.
To what extent it reflects on the character and intention of the candidates who benefit from it is for the candidates themselves to communicate and for the voters to decide. Some cases are more clear than others. But AIPAC's intentions are undisputed. Whatever their move, it's a play to help secure a victory for a pro-Israel candidate and to block an outspoken critic of Israel.
People, these PAC structures are deliberately confusing, so I don’t blame you for not understanding them, but look closer before you respond with such certainty.
“Elect Democratic Women” is a different PAC than EDW Action Fund. EDW Action Fund is the super PAC moving money to back Chan.
Simon has the backing of the former. Different things. Deliberately confusing. EDW does do work on behalf of women’s rights. EDW Action Fund does sometimes too.
I personally would never run for office but if, for example, AIPAC was spending on my behalf to uplift me to ensure another pro Palestinian / progressive candidate would lose — I would drop out.
It wouldn’t even be a challenge for me. I would refuse to be used like a pawn.
No. When you have a trifecta that probably won’t last long, and your party passes a massively important structural piece of legislation like this, you don’t veto it because you wanted to add amendments. Not in a functioning party that is serious about stopping fascism.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is carpetbagging to FL-20, a black opportunity district instead of running in her own.
DWS is everything that’s wrong with the Democratic establishment. From insider trading to payday lenders.
I look forward to retiring her from public office permanently.
This explains why the autopsy report wasn't released. But then why, in the year since, haven't you fixed this and done a real autopsy?
Part of the reason I supported @fshakir for DNC chair is competence. This wouldn't have happened under him.
All federal charges against Kat Abughazaleh and the rest of the "Broadview Six" for protesting and obstructing ICE have been dropped
The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois abruptly dismissed the remaining charges with prejudice today
My statement with @charlie4va on @GovernorVA signing SB352 requiring all law enforcement officers to wear badges identifying them and the agency employing them and prohibiting the wearing of facial coverings:
Come on, Shannon. You took $800,000 from Dominion while they continued to jack up our rates.
You can't expect voters to forget that, or pretend that never happened. I've taken $0 from Dominion because I am running to represent Virginians, not Dominion.
@Jaaavis A lazy & offensive statement given that's not at all the bill that came out of the GA. This would have been 1st in nation policy that builds upon the federal Medicare negotiations- moving away from the traditional "PDAB".
This is a veto statement for a bill that doesn't exist.
Unfortunately some national voices called Spanberger progressive and she read the tweets so now we’re all suffering more so she can claw back that allegation.
