Good news for Prepaid Mobile Users in India
The Govt just introduced Telecom Consumer Protection (Thirteenth Amendment) Regulations, 2026, consumers will now have:
• 30-day recharge plans, reducing the need for 13 monthly recharges to 12 in a year
• Voice and SMS-only plans for those who do not need data
• More suitable options for low-budget consumers who primarily need basic voice calls
Many of you had shared your concerns with me about limited and inflexible recharge options. I raised this issue in Parliament on 11th March, seeking greater choice and more affordable options for consumers.
I am grateful to the Government of India and TRAI for resolving these concerns in the interest of greater consumer choice and convenience.
@Airtel_Presence@airtelindia no my issue is not addressed yet. My data balance is still being deducted from my new plan rather than the existing old plan
@airtelindia My data is continued to be deducted from my current pack(Aug27th,2027) and not the data pack that ends on Oct 4th first. Do you want me to consume 29.8gb and then 38.7gb? This is robbery. I paid for the pack so they should be deducted in sequence of which ends first.
@airtelindia I did data pack recharge on July 7th which expires on Oct 7th, then i did a normal 1 year talktime pack with data on aug 24th. I would like to know why the data i consume is not being deducted from the oct7th pack, rather its deducted from the pack ending on aug,2027
@ChennaiTraffic this vehicle was parked right outside my house and did not provide way for me to take my vehicle out. Kindly impose fine on this vehicle.
@raghav_chadha why don't you take this in the parliament. These @airtelindia guys are looting customer's money even though I have a legitimate time period until expiry

@Airtel_Presence Dear @airtelindia I read your private message and it is about broadband but my concern is about mobile data. Did you not read my tweet correctly ?
Also you have not enabled encrypt messaging so I am not able to reply in the private message

This 2 hour Stanford lecture will teach you more about how LLMs like ChatGPT & Claude are built than most people working at top AI companies learn in their entire careers.
Bookmark this & give 2 hours today, no matter what. It'll be the most productive thing you do this week.
@UpdatesChennai I usually support this guy and the updates from this page... But not for this. I strongly hold that construction from a certain distance(cmda knows better) from marshland should be banned.
This vehicle was parked right outside our house with no civic sense, leaving no way for us to take our car out... @ChennaiTraffic@chennaicorp please take proper action
@chennaicorp it's been more than 1 month, the road at bawa street, Alwarpet was scrapped for relaying but the new road has not been relayed yet. Can this be checked and immediate action be taken ?
@JioHotstar seriously you want to talk about india vs England match in the post match presentation when its SA's biggest day. 🤦🤦🤦 Shame on you
