BREAKING: Cambodian military informs defense attachés and diplomats from 13 countries that Thailand has captured 20 Cambodian soldiers (1 escaped, 2 suspected dead).
After the ceasefire, Thai soldiers approached Cambodian soldiers at the battlefield as if to shake hands — but then immediately detained them. As of now, they have not been released.
(Preah Vihear) – On the morning of July 30, 2025, the Cambodian military told 13 countries’ defense attachés and diplomats about the incident, which happened after the official ceasefire. Cambodian soldiers were walking to shake hands with Thai soldiers at the front line, but on the way back, Thai soldiers pointed their guns and detained them.

According to Cambodia’s military, as of the afternoon of July 30, 2025, the Thai side has still not released the detained Cambodian soldiers.
