MIDDLE EAST CONTINUES TO BOIL- what is the way forward for peace in the Middle East. The crisis in the Middle East appears to be escalating to the neighbouring countries and this time, it is neither Iran, Israel, Lebanon nor Syria but Iraq. A loud explosion had been reported at a military base in Babylon, Iraq. The explosion caused multiple injuries and “material losses”, I hope no life was lost so far due to the explosion while the United States had denied any connection with that explosion, many people believed it could be from either Isreal since the attack was on Iran proxy military site in Iraq. The global peace is threatened, and instability is spreading so fast in the Middle East, the two military powers in that region; Iran and Isreal appear to be downplaying each other though the rivalry is still there and could escalate again if all diplomatic effort to curtail it fails. The million-dollar question is could be done to ensure peace in the Middle East? What is the pathway for peace between Isreal and its Arab neighbours? What could the UN do to calm down the tension between Isreal and Iran as their proxies in the Middle East. The world needs peace and not anarchy.
