@brie_alyssa When bron goes to the Knicks, don’t act surprised. I have a real hard time believing he comes back to a city he trashed on his podcast less than 6 months ago. This isn’t WWE, he isn’t “finishing the story” here lol
@TheAOK15@MrEddieGillette@TonyKhan You bring up the point my friend made, he said where would I develop new talent, my answer is bring back rampage, make it a YouTube show or find a smaller network to broadcast it on
The Pay-Per-View model is DEAD.
Whether you like Triple H’s 5-match cards or not, one thing is clear, traditional PPVs are never coming back.
WWE used to stack cards with stars and huge matches because they HAD to sell the event. PPV buys were once the lifeblood of the business.
Today? Before a single match even happens, WWE already got paid through Netflix, Peacock, ESPN and massive media rights deals.
That’s why storylines move slower, weekly TV matters more, fewer matches make the card, and WWE no longer feels pressured to cram every big match onto one show.
That's why they literally had to rename it Premium Live Events because "PPV" no longer rings true.
While it’s been great for WWE’s bottom line…whether it’s been great for fans is still heavily debated.
@AEWPRTeam Star development? You mean churn and burn NXT talent, the only big match feel this year was Oba vs Brock, the rest are forgettable at best, consistent ad rotation*, heavy emphasis on character driven cause unless you gotta catchphrase your not booked, and fan investment? Lmao
@AEWPRTeam Triple H seeing this board 😂 we don’t get quality, we get 4 minutes of wrestling and 4 hours of ads, they put more thought and care behind their ads than anyone in the ring, or any match they book, there is no more long term story telling, they haven’t done that in years
@Thecoachrules@HeyHeyItsConrad Instead of 9 maybe 7 matches, but definitely the best PPV/PLE this year so far, I don’t see any way WWE can top this, kinda hard to compete with 5 minutes of wrestling and 6 hours of commercials
@karnsies817 This isn’t 2010 LeBron, this ain’t even 2020 LeBron, idk bro it works for a nostalgia act, but if we’re actually trying to win? Nah, let him stay in LA or go be in NY
