My coworker is 67. He drags himself into the office every day, pale and exhausted.
He has Stage 3 cancer.
He wants to retire. He needs to rest.
But he can't.

If he retires, he loses the company’s "Gold Tier" health insurance, and Medicare won't cover the experimental treatment that is actually shrinking his tumor.

He is literally working to stay alive.
He naps in his car during lunch just to get through the afternoon.
Productivity shouldn't be the price of survival.
