some of us have sleepness nights because there are people who own 535 hectares of land that are big enough to fit those entire estates, that's what inspires us 😩
@that3amgent@eng_nyumz Financial education early on would really change a lot...and tools that help people build better habits are definitely needed...
@eng_nyumz I love that goal for you!
I think we need education on consumer debt, especially when we are straight from Uni into the workplace.
With this in mind, we have developed a FREE app that teaches people how to manage their finances.

@iamkoshiek Thanks for the feedback, Koshiek, appreciated.
We'll relook into making it much friendlier. The reason for this sign up form is security and in-app feedback to the user based on the data they provide.
Would you be open to giving suggestions on what we could cut out?

@Mo_D1d@kay_mahapa This answer is great. The cost vs. benefit of depositing 50k long term to save 1K per month makes 0 sense if you plan on investing the 1k. However, if the deposit is so that it affects affordability, then the conversation is about why buy expensive when you can barely afford.
@MindUrselfPls@GamingNaRoli@hayin_uAvu Hayii chief, no, no! For your investment to make a break even with the interest, which is R22k , you only need +-6,5% returns annually for the same period as the loan repayment.
Please do the math & show me what you are talking about, if I am wrong this will be a learning curve.
@loveonweekends@GamingNaRoli@hayin_uAvu my understanding is that the 50k paid later will significantly reduce the capital amount, and your installment will also reduce to lower than the "no deposit and a deposit installment," as seen above. If you continue to pay the same installment as before, you'll pay off faster.
@loveonweekends@GamingNaRoli@hayin_uAvu The app I used doesn't have the ability to check what happens when you pay the 50 after. I am not a subject expert in this regard, so I could be wrong, but ...
@docmediamlambo@GamingNaRoli@hayin_uAvu Valid point, I think it also comes down to affordability. If you can comfortably afford the monthly installment of 10k, the choice of whether you buy with a deposit or not will be easier because you will know what the long-term goal is.
