New paper with @MklNicolas is out now - all about how potato cultivars deal with salt stress!
Also, ever wondered whether potato tubers become more salty when grown in a saline environment?
Read to find out! 🥔🧂

How do potato cultivars cope with salt stress? With @KarlovaRumyana we are glad to share that our paper investigating potato plants' response to salt stress is out https://t.co/KalSDvIL5h ! with @PPH_WUR and @TesterinkC
@SHeimovaara Many have indeed moved away from this platform. Most academic institutions incl. @WUR are also no longer active here, which is a pity!
I blocked all content coming from Elon, and my timeline is fine; can recommend! :)
I employed a photographic technique known as 'double exposure' to create a layered image that combines nature and architecture, hoping to inspire the municipality to provide enough living space for everybody whilst incorporating and stimulating nature throughout the city 🏨🌿
Won second prize in a #photographycompetition hosted by @Gem_Wageningen, part of an ongoing initiative to develop the city's long-term vision (#Wageningen in 2045). A big thanks to the municipality for hosting the event and the judges! I added my picture below! #photography
@WUR Hope the project managers consider the recyclability upon disassembly and modularity of the wood used. The biggest con of wood in construction is its brief lifespan compared to regular building materials, contributing to an increase in the environmental footprint
Just released in @Nature!
Tree of life for flowering plants - #angiosperms
Great novel insights into the diversification and evolutionary history of plants vital to terrestrial ecosystems on our planet and us; humanity🌿🌍 #PlantScience#Publication

@WUR Waste in general, not an attractive topic to talk about but very necessary. Moreover, it would be interesting to talk about all the global geo-engineering approaches to induce specific changes to the climate, and New Genomic Techniques: changing the crops we eat and grow
@MunissaSadykova @SazeLab Aaah! It's so nice to see everyone again!
Greetings to Hide, Yoko, Yoshiko, Leo, Jeremy, and of course the "new people" too 🤗
Early weekend wake-up on my way to Brussels for the #GiveGenesAChance#scicomm 🎓🗣️ event with @GeneSprout! Looking forward to speak about, discuss, and brainstorm the applications of #NewGenomicTechniques in plants ☘️ 🎋🌿 with everyone who happens to pass by Brussels station 🚉
@StudioYorktown I've been looking into the iDraw H-framed plotter for which you can get fairly powerful lasers, but the lasers offered are apparently without protective caps, so it might be somewhat hazardous, and not much documentation is available besides thedotisblack's review video @ YT
I took the photo in one of our local botanical gardens during sunset. The last small beams of light still went through the trees, beautifully hitting this fox glove's (Digitalis purpurea) flowers resulting in this image. A huge thanks a lot to everyone supporting my work! 😊
Am happy to share with you that I was recently featured with my photography in a magazine (Uitwaaien Magazine https://t.co/0Inf8wmAci) for local artists. Feel free to check it out by using the following link to browse the latest edition online:

A huge thanks to @BertDeRybel, @beeckman_tom, @jennyrussinova, @DeVeylderLab, @BarbaraConinck and all the volunteers who helped out organizing the conference. Esp. for creating such a fun and open environment for sharing lots of interesting research (ideas)!
Going back home from Ghent after attending a great #Rooting2023 conference - obtained many insights and above all, made many new international friends to root for!
Of course I couldn't help myself quickly visiting the botanical gardens of Ghent on my way out 😄🌱
