If you have had a rough year, I am so sorry. Remember God never wastes the tough seasons.
If you haven't achieved everything you wanted to this year, don't be too hard on yourself. You still have an entire 6 months left. Use it wisely.

God's grace is freely given to us. But it is not meant to be abused. A lot of us are too comfortable with continuous sin knowing that God will forgive us. But God knows whether your repentance is genuine or not. Grace will cease to be grace if our repentance is not genuine.

John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid".

"Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin".

Joshua 1:9
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

It might seem like nothing is going to work out. But remember that God holds your life in his hands. Just because you have no idea what is going to happen next doesn't mean he doesn't. Why do we worry so much when we already know that he is in control?

If you are in a stage of life where everything seems empty and pointless, you have no hopes for your future, you are stuck in the present not knowing what the next step is, or you are even contemplating your own existence, just remember that this stage is temporary.

But the truth is God exists. He is present in all seasons, even in the dry ones when you don't feel him at all. You know what assures me? That my feelings don't determine anything. Feelings constantly fluctuate. Don't let your feelings determine the existence of God.

It got so bad to the point where I even started doubting God. I used to think that if I didn't have these big spiritual experiences or see majestic visions, I was not being a proper Christian. I even started thinking that the existence of God depended on these things.

I have had many seasons where I spent many days without reading the Bible or praying. I remember staring at my phone for hours thinking it could fill any of the emptiness I had inside of me. And the worst part is I kept repeating it countless times.

If we want to remain at peace in the midst of this world's chaos, we have to walk with Jesus.

It's hard being in this world. Jesus said that we will have trouble in this world. But he has also said to take heart because he has overcome the world.

We backslide. Sometimes we become faithless. We sin. Sometimes we even actively rebel. But the best part is God's love for us never wavers. He is always ready to receive us with the same love no matter how far we have fallen. Even if we are faithless, he remains faithful.

The Bible doesn't care about your opinions or feelings. Just because ungodliness has become normalized doesn't mean God has normalized it.

Feeling change constantly. Opinions change. But you know what doesn't change? The truth. You want to know the truth? Read your Bible.

The Bible is not meant to be deconstructed and reconstructed based on your feelings.

Christians, stop trying to be culturally relevant. You are not meant to fit in with the world anyway.
