So why did most of the community forgot about this in knight debates? I rarely see it brought up nowadays even tho this realistically debunks/majorly challenges most knight candidates
@Masou__ Actually you're right, my bad. What I'm saying is that this reoccurring text indicates the knight must be a large person in the light world. I don't see why else toby would decide to put that detail *twice*
@TheFreakishClow@dudeitsalice_ And I don't see how the knight can be associated with the vision of the "better past" since ***it literally destroys the two symbols of nostalgic past*** (that being Tenna and Flowery)
@TheFreakishClow@dudeitsalice_ Some of what baffles me is that it would imply Kris would be working with their fucked up version from the weird route (just... no) and that Noelle would become the agent of fate right after her monologue of deciding to break free from said fate and her social role
@SantwaliLatinx I mean the knight sure as hell ain't a normal lightner, so whatever they are in the light world they're gonna be a large person with black shard parts at a minimum and maybe some aspects of dess in their design
@dudeitsalice_ Please don't tell me you're serious. It's a REALLY cool concept don't get me wrong I like it alot, but it belongs in AU territory not in an actual narrative discussion because it completely spits in the face of the characters, themes narrative structure, and weird route.
And on this note, blackshards remain consistent in the light world which indicate that the knight most likely remains in their knight form in the light world to some extent and isn't just a dark world form.
Like just look at how tall the knight is! Realistically only Dess, vessel and friend knight fit the bill cus they're all darkness/gaster related which would explain how they're in knight form even in the light world, all other lightners don't work (unless Asriel is THAT tall)
@dessriel Crazy how the community seemingly forgot the newsletter toby wrote 3 months ago about how the community should value this temporary period of speculation and theory crafting.
@hiruchihi Do you have an analysis I can read or watch about Noelle knight? I don't believe it at all but I like researching other knight candidate theories (especially those that consider the narrative and characters and etc etc)
@hpo7nz@sydist_ To be fair yeah that beating darkners thing is pretty meh. But the point still stands when Rudy can barely walk to church yet apparently overpower and kidnap two of the strongest lightners in town in the span of two days
@sydist_ Instead of confronting Carol and be there for Noelle more prominently, his daughter that IS alive, seems too contradictory for me to believe in Rudy knight. Caring for Noelle is like his main character trait I don't see any twist subverting that.
@sydist_ My guy can barely walk to church that's right next to the hospital. So him having enough strength and motivation to be the knight (running around, kidnappings, defeating strong darkners, etc) to seemingly find his missing daughter, that has been missing for years,-
