.@CorrectionNYC's response is that they'll pursue rearrest. Not investigating the conditions that allowed this to occur, not apologizing to the families of staff / detainees for failing to keep their loved ones safe. No, their solution is more jail.

Stunning rebuke of Adams' Administration effort to BAN detainees at Rikers Island from getting physical mail & personal packages. Correction Department said the mail was how fentanyl was getting smuggled in. The Board of Correction didn't buy it & wouldn't even vote on requests.
