One of my male friends has been so withdrawn lately. He barely replies to messages, and whenever I ask what's wrong, he says he's fine.

Yesterday, I went to his house to check on him and eat with him. We talked, but I could tell he wasn't ready to open up. As I was leaving, I noticed something.

His C-way water was finished, but there was a bag of sachet water beside it.
Now, this is someone who would never willingly drink sachet water. That was all I needed to know.

Knowing he wouldn't ask for help, I quietly paid the neighbour who sells C-way water to deliver three bottles.

This morning, he called to say thank you, but added, "You gats learn how to cook this thing well." That bad mouth tells me he's feeling better. A win-win!
