@DGreeenshields @NorthThamesRJDC They are not talking about full time locum doctors - they are talking about ‘overtime’ rates to cover unfilled shifts. This is extra-contractual work above the (av) 40-48h/week already worked. There is little incentive for people to give up their tiny amount of free time.

Since 2019 I’ve had stagnant or slightly less pay (dropped 10% last year). AA statement shows £25k growth last year for 2008 section compared to <£2k growth for previous 3y and zero contributions! My ‘unused’ AA is going to run out VERY quickly at this rate!

I haven’t even applied for a consultant job yet! What are the chances I can negotiate reduced sessions from the outset?!
