The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.

The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.

Access to all other Claude models is not affected.

beautiful launch video

- love how aligned to linear's brand this is. everything is perfectly dialed in.
- music sets the perfect tone
- really creative & original approach in general (esp with the projected text / UI)
- great seeing real users
- really authentic broll and user discussions
- shots are really nice in general

but
- would have got to the point of what they're launching faster.
- need a scroll stopper. "linear is a shared context system for teams" as the first line is boring and confusing
- the live speech is pretty awkward without an audience. who is Karri talking to? would have had a live audience reacting to the announcement.
- would have had much clearer text for the specific things they're announcing. currently too hidden or hard to read.

think this is a great example of what a dark/chic brand can do with music to make the product feel uplifting/happy rather than scary (usually the case for dark brands)

the rule for looking off camera while talking is that you are either doing documentary style interview or there is a clear audience or person you're speaking to. v awkward if neither is true (in this case for linear).

incredible launch video

- very very original concept
- founder is super authentic and compelling when he talks
- elite editing given how few different shots there are
- animation on the character is spectacular. looks like a pro worked on this.
- dialog between founder and character is great and paced nicely
- brilliant idea focusing on key questions people ask about their space
- sound fx and music is solid
- great scroll stopper, bold statement, social proof, etc

but
- only feedback is to add captions

this is might be my favorite launch video of last 6 months.

the biggest thing they nail is simply copying a PROVEN format from YouTube/film/TV.

the physical board with google queries on it is something I've seen on tons of YT videos but have never seen on a launch video. and the animated character closely parallels pixar's characters.

had they tried to change even a small piece of this or not executed it well, this wouldn't have hit as hard.

not only is this an easy hack for coming up with video ideas, but it ALWAYS works. Founders Fund just did it with reality TV, TBPN did it with ESPN.
