There must be a court order, and there must also be clear communication before any attempt is made to repossess your car. I also believe that most of these people are simply given documents such as a voluntary surrender form for their car. This is not necessarily repossession. There must be a clear repossession process; it does not happen instantly. Most of these people are vulnerable, which is why their cars end up being repossessed and taken away by banks.
