Anybody trying to even get close to praising Diogo Dalot as a footballer in any way, shows themselves up as simply not understanding the game.

Dalot and Dorgu are pathetically short of what a #mufc full back should be, Casemiro can’t run, Ugarte can’t pass.

I think a Casemiro, Mainoo pivot can work if you invert Dalot next to Casemiro and push Mainoo up in possession. Not seen Dalot into midfield since ten Hag but thought it was his best role whilst at United. Decent engine, decent technically, decent defender, kept it ticking.

The impending return of Lisandro Martinez has me very excited.

Personally I hope to see him return to left centre back, and then see Luke Shaw pushed to wing back.

Shaws quality of delivery in undeniable, as well as his overall quality, dar better than Dalot or Dorgu.

The real key for me as a #mufc fan is our central midfield.

I saw combinations between Keane, Scholes and Butt, then Carrick Scholes and Fletcher.

You have to have the ability to keep the ball consistently as well as covering ground.

Sadly we simply can’t do this currently.
