Unpopular opinion: A lot of this behavior starts at home. Too often, these girls are raised in environments where being loud, unruly, and disrespectful is normalized. Then when they get in trouble, their mothers are the first ones to say, “My daughter is a great kid” and act shocked by the outcome.

Those girls got lucky that she only used mace. Their actions could have ended much worse.

This is one reason why fathers are so important in a daughter’s life. A good father teaches accountability, respect, self-control, and how to carry yourself in public. Unfortunately, that’s a conversation many people don’t want to have.
