👉 I have sat in countless assessments with people who question whether their suffering is worth my time. The truth is, if you look for someone who has it worse, you will find them. But that does not make your suffering any less valid. Thinking in this way often reflects a lack of self-compassion. If someone you loved unconditionally was suffering in the same way, you wouldn’t hesitate to get them the help they needed.

The right help is not available for far too many people, for lots of reasons. But if you have access to support, don’t let negative comparison be the reason you hold back from it.
