Jaylen Brown to @ramonashelburne on if he believes he's the NBA MVP:
"Analytically probably not honestly. But I put my blood, sweat & tears into this season … also from a leadership standpoint. Galvanizing guys, getting everybody on the same page in the midst of uncertainty to help keep us in contention at the top of the league. The analytics don't quantify who I am and who my spirit is.”

“I know I look rusty, I know I’ve made some mistakes. But one thing I do know is I’m trying my ass off… I’m a little winded but 10 and a half months after tearing my Achilles I’m giving it all I got. And I know each game I’m going to get a little better.”

Dan Lebatard breaks down the difference of the Celtics drafting Tatum and Brown early in the draft vs the Heat drafting Bam and Herro when discussing tanking 👀
“We got Jaylen Brown and Tatum. These are picks at anytime the skill set the scouts say ‘oh that’s the best guy in this draft!’ They got two of those and as they grow, what happens? Bam Adebayo meets him at the rim in the bubble but they keep growing and get better and they hit their ceiling which is higher than Bam Adebayo ceiling. When you just measure these things Bam was viewed as NOT what Tatum and Brown are. So, your best player, your All Star, isn’t as good as their all star. Your Tyler Herro when doing the simple measurements of ‘what are these guys going to be?’ Brown and Tatum are drafted where you get the immortals. That’s where the immortals get drafted and Adebayo and Herro are maxing out their talents”

Jaylen Brown on being held to two points in the fourth quarter:
“I think in the fourth quarter. I think the officials made their point. So I get it. I’ll keep my mouth closed.”
