NPCIL has achieved another significant construction milestone at Kaiga Units-5&6 (2 × 700 MWe PHWRs) with the successful completion of a largest ever continuous reactor foundation concrete pour (~7,250 cubic meter) for an Indian PHWR, under challenging southwest monsoon conditions.

Through meticulous planning, innovative engineering solutions, including a specially designed 75-metre protective canopy, temperature-controlled concrete production, rigorous quality assurance protocols and seamless round-the-clock coordination, the project team ensured uninterrupted execution while meeting the exacting standards required for nuclear infrastructure.

This achievement reflects the technical expertise, dedication and collaborative spirit of Team NPCIL, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to building safe, reliable and world-class nuclear power infrastructure that will power India’s clean energy future.

This is not a result of merely Ethanol blend. Petrol and Ethanol should ideally mix well together.

The phenomenon we see in the picture below is result of water absorption by the Ethanol leading to phase separation.

The entire storage, transport and dispensation of E20 petrol should ensure there is no moisture which can contaminate the fuel leading to phase separation.

My guess is the current mechanisms we have to distribute normal petrol does not have these safeguards. Petrol being hydrophobic will not absorb any moisture.

While the entire focus is on E20 compatibility of vehicles, the Government has not assessed whether the entire supply chain is equipped to handle E20 distribution without any water contamination.

The man whose licence she had cancelled never forgot what had happened.

On the morning of March 29, 2019, Balwinder Singh walked into her office in Kharar carrying a licensed revolver.

He shot her inside her workplace.

Neha Shoree was rushed towards a hospital but died on the way.

The gunman then turned the weapon on himself and died soon afterwards.

According to the police, she had been due to testify against him in court.

Ten years had passed since the raid.

Ten years after she enforced the law, he came back for revenge.

Her father later said that his daughter had lived under pressure for years because of her work, but she never compromised and never backed down.

She was killed for doing exactly what the job had asked her to do.
