one of the things mamo shared in the farewell message for his final podcast was that he’s reached a deeper perspective after everything he’s experienced. addressing his listeners, he mentioned that no matter where you are, there will always be worries, pain, or difficulties, but the one thing you must never forget is gratitude. it's something he firmly believes in, both because of where he is now and what lies ahead in the future, and that’s the most important thing he wants everyone to value
he mentioned how it’s often said that since it’s your life, you have to put yourself first, do what’s best for you, and live for yourself. he considers this subjective perspective important, but even if you live for yourself, it’s not about being arrogant or conceited; rather, it’s about broadening your perspective and being grateful for the "arrows" directed toward us
in the end, he noted that maybe he says all this because he’s an actor (alluding to how his profession has made him more perceptive and empathetic), but he’d like everyone to be able to apply it to their own lives. whether it’s something positive or negative, he wants us to be grateful for every "arrow" pointed our way, because all of that is what makes us who we are
mamo mentioned that, at the start of his musical career at age 25, he had developed an inferiority complex, and his mindset had become so intense that it made him anxious and desperate to stand out. he confessed that, for that reason, he doesn’t like who he was back then at all
after 17 years of performing live, he feels the stage is where he belongs and no longer sees it as a place to show off and prove himself. to him, it is a space to connect live with his fans and live alongside them, which is why it has become the place where he feels the most gratitude
