Not all things are ERCOTs fault. And the most important part of EEAs are the friends we made along the way. Not affiliated with ERCOT or anyone else sane.
@SirLurksALotSA@douglewinenergy I see your point. Election contest is still pending. Well the puc didn’t award any money today. Just entering projects into diligence. Will be interesting to see what they do if contest is still pending.
Unjust new climate world:
In California, 12 million households without solar now pay the 1.5 million with solar $8.5 billion
Each poorer household subsidizes rich solar owners with $700!
Each rich solar household gets $5,600+

@therealkrupster@SimonMahan It’s almost like $2-3B HVDC ties aren’t the economic or reliability “no brainer” some people suggest they are and yes those are the same people that can’t make it work commercially without subsidies or the government shoving it down ratepayers throats.
PJM has issued a Maximum Generation Alert and Load Management Alert for Aug. 27 ahead of expected hot weather across many parts of the Eastern Interconnection, including the region PJM serves, to ensure the reliable delivery of electricity to its customers across 13 states and the District of Columbia. No customer actions are required. https://t.co/feC6OP3Ylo
Due to improved system conditions across the SPP BA, SPP is ending the EEA1 but remains under a Conservative Operations Advisory until an anticipated end time of 8:00 p.m. CT on August 27. This does not require the public to conserve energy. https://t.co/PDCYfo0zqx
SPP is issuing an EEA1 for the entire SPP Balancing Authority, effective until further notice. The declaration of an EEA1 does not require the public to conserve energy and does not indicate that SPP will be directing controlled service outages. https://t.co/p2hHd0w17u
The MISO grid is stable despite high electricity demand from extreme heat. We're actively monitoring and coordinating with members and other grid operators. Visit our website to learn how alerts and advisories help us keep the grid reliable: https://t.co/SSIzYx69NN
Next severe winter storm that extends all the way to the valley with peak demand occurring when there is no sun and batteries are fully depleted is gonna be a wild ride.
A significant misunderstanding amongst many ERCOT participants is thinking that total load drives pricing.
Net load (demand less renewable generation) drives pricing in ERCOT more than load. Prices spiked yesterday in HE20 to near $5,000/MWh when Net load peaked. At this point total load was 13GW below the peak of the day
Crews continue working to find a cause for the East Austin outage. This is a local issue, not an ERCOT grid outage. We are working to find the source of the issue and are working to restore as many customers as possible as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
