@DiversityETH @kaydeeteese @Coinbase_NFT@rpnickson The caches are cleared to make way for new data which is why having multiple nodes storing the data and "pinning" that data is a valuable service. Also, not an expert. I just happened to have been studying IPFS right before seeing this thread π

@DiversityETH @kaydeeteese @Coinbase_NFT@rpnickson If the data you are storing only exists on your node and you delete or stop hosting, then that data is gone too. If the data is located on other nodes, then the data is not gone. The more nodes it exists on, the faster the data can be retrieved. Which is the value prop of pinata
