I agree with you @kyle_petel ! This has allowed me to understand the perspectives of others and their opinions on certain controversial topics. #educ307
I honestly truly enjoy this social media platform. It allow people to express themselves freely and put positive remarks out there for fellow followers to see and give their inputs as well. #Educ307
I hope in the distant future, issues surrounding our privacy gets resolved so that kids from future generation don't have to experience what we went through. #Lesson9
This is scary because it's true! I remember the days where I used to spend most of the days outside in the park with other kids. Kids these days need to be active at their age and should not be spending majority of their leisure time inside. #Lesson6
Kids today are staying inside at home, instead of playing with ropes and swimming. This is alarming for many of us. Being active is essential for children and adults. #Educ307#Lesson6
It truly is unfair! I have seen so many wonderful performances by actresses such as Viola Davis and its a shame that women don't get paid no where close to men. #Lesson10
The truth is that women are still face with inequalities and it is unfair! They get paid less compared to males and for what? A person should get paid based on their qualifications. and THAT IS ALL. Other factors should not be in effect. #Educ307#Lesson10
My favorite Disney film as a child is Aladdin. I'm also happy that they made a live action film! Can't wait until it hits theaters next month. #Lesson11
I'm shocked that over a billion people visited a Disney theme park in the span of 9 years! This truly shows how much power and influence Disney has in the entertainment industry! #Lesson11
Although some of the previous Disney movies had some faults when depicting some of their characters, I would still show my kids classical Disney movies and hope new Disney movies display more diversity. #Lesson11
As kids we were naive and oblivious of hidden messages that were being presented in movies but as we grow, we learn to unravel these messages that turn out to be negative. #Lesson11
"How did gender and racial/ethnic portrayals in Disney films change over time?" So many examples of stereotypes and prejudice are found in Disney movies... Examples include the black hyenas and the hispanic robber #Educ307#Lesson11
Not only Disney movies, but movies in general have always portrayed men to be the hero or protagonist of the story in which they save the damsel in distress. I hope to see the roles switch where women are seen as equal to men. #Lesson11
In previous Disney movies, the princesses were always seen being saved by men. Almost engraving the idea in little girls' heads that they have to be dependent on men at such a young age. #Lesson11
I definitely agree that Disney should include more positive messages so that kids can learn life lessons and morals starting from a young age. #Lesson11
