@Saanvi_dhillon The number of people confusing technical literacy w/ coding proficiency is astounding. Nobody expects a CEO to write code, but understanding basic machine learning should be the bare minimum for someone leading a frontier AI lab. How else can they assess its risks & limitations?
@ThatOtherZach@DeJess1_@parzival1213@Saanvi_dhillon So your argument is that you can’t criticize a CEO unless you’re one yourself? That’s absurd. Nobody expects Altman to write code, but expecting the CEO of an AI company making sweeping claims about AI to understand its capabilities, limitations, and risks is hardly unreasonable
@chamberlain_har So we’re blaming male biology for violence now? Interesting. If testosterone is supposedly the problem, shouldn’t we be discussing estrogen as a solution for violent men? Or does biological essentialism only apply when it’s convenient to attack transgender people?
@thealchemist473@UnusuKuni@Ella_5b8 All three books kinda copy off each other, you really don’t want to make anti-Muslim essentialism when Christianity is literally the brother religion to Islam and Judaism
@adiicodess they don’t because of the issues like what you see on the timer. Part of it is they want to reserve it for Siri AI the other part is as seen in Siri AI they have to create work around for whenever text is present because the tinting in Liquid Glass isn’t meant on gradients
@jacksteiner01@Abmankendrick@yassi_yari ..thats why the design interaction for a context menu is simpler to write than constructing a modal sheet because teams of interaction designers understand a users eyes are focused on the context trigger not the bottom of the screen
@jacksteiner01@Abmankendrick It’s not though, @yassi_yari mentioned there’s more travel involved in B but also B obscures more of the key information these actions are managing, and lastly one part of yassis argument which is overlooked is attention humans do action>effect and the os designers know that’s
