The current state of celebrity crypto is broken.

Afroman is breaking the traditional crypto playbook.

Every week, another public figure enters the space, signs a deal with a hidden group of launch partners, extracts from their audience, and disappears the moment the chart cools down. It has turned a revolutionary technology into a quick pump a dump and has lead to the rise of insider cabals. It leaves everyday fans holding empty bags, and burns the trust that took an artist an entire career to build.

The "celeb coin" era is dead, and it deserves to be. Everyone in the space already knows what celebs do, and everyone new to the space gets a bad taste in their mouth after being rugged by someone they look up to, or trust.

One problem is. Celebrities get paid. They don’t work for free. They have offers every single day for their talent, and they often take the highest offer. They get into crypto on a whim, with a “reputable company” and a good deal to them, and they often don’t realize the harm they cause.

Let’s change that.

The next phase of this technology belongs to the creators who actually hit the road, look their fans in the eye, and deliver value.

Afroman has been an independent force, carving out his own path in music, touring, and counter culture for decades. We look at all new avenues that could help shape his career, from the start of Napster, to the rise of social media and streaming. When we looked at crypto tokens, we saw an opportunity to restructure some ways an artist connects with their community, that hasn’t been done before.

We are officially starting the transition of the solana:8oQEW25mcVzeWvcjkGup9ob3KafVMNdzAi8XXmmWpump token into an all access digital key to the Afroman ecosystem, and setting a model for other artists.
This is a work in progress, of which we will be very public and transparent about, but here are some of the things we are working on.

1. An EP will be coming out later this summer. It will be a Solana Summer/Meme Coin inspired album with high end music videos. The first video will drop within 2 weeks.

2. We are setting up the structure so that the community owns the publishing of this release.

3. Starting now, anyone that holds at least 4,200 solana:8oQEW25mcVzeWvcjkGup9ob3KafVMNdzAi8XXmmWpump tokens, is able to go to most of my shows for no charge. Certain things, like big festivals (Riot Fest etc), I have less control over, but hundreds of dates a year will be eligible for this. For now, simply email [email protected] if you are a holder, that wants to get into a show. Verification required.

3. We will be launching a merch store for $FRO token holders next week. Users will be able to pay in solana:8oQEW25mcVzeWvcjkGup9ob3KafVMNdzAi8XXmmWpump for merch, memorabilia, VIP experiences, and more.

4. We will have a solana:8oQEW25mcVzeWvcjkGup9ob3KafVMNdzAi8XXmmWpump table set up on tour soon, with local community members onboarding people and giving out free tokens at my shows. One thing to note, crypto twitter talks about “onboarding normies” all the time, but they are often too in their bubble to see the real people in the world. I play to hundreds of thousands of people a year (sometimes millions). Most have never heard of Ansem, Pumpfun, or any of this stuff. Most have heard about Bitcoin in the news.

5. We will begin launching bounties for solana:8oQEW25mcVzeWvcjkGup9ob3KafVMNdzAi8XXmmWpump bag workers. Content producers, writers, shit posters, and more.

6. We will be working on transparent ways to use the fees. Supporting the token like we have been, bounties, airdrops, and more.

This is just a start to what we have planned, and are def open to input and suggestions. More info coming.
