@justafan2222@QualkTalk@JacobWaldrip Right, it's not like UCLA magically loses the "home field advantage" because they're batting first each inning. It's still their fans in attendance, and they're playing in the stadium they've played 30-40 games this season.
@QualkTalk@JacobWaldrip Home/Away doesn't affect winning/losing to the extent you seem to think it does. You seem upset that they were "walked off" of their home field. So UCLA bats last and St Mary's players storm their pitcher. Happy? I mean, it's not like UCLA would get an extra chance to bat.
@alexlubyansky_@ImCollegeSoccer Revenue? I mean, college soccer helps pays my bills, but more games means more expenses for the vast majority of college programs. Soccer is just part of the jigsaw puzzle ecosystem of college athletics. This change without moving a Spring sport to the Fall creates a mess.
@ScottStras men's and women's tennis, swimming & diving, fencing, track & field and on and on. I can't wait to see what the fields at UNC's Dorrance Field and Duke's Koskinen Stadium look like mid-March with two lacrosse teams sharing them with soccer. Nobody will be happy.
@ProfBank Yeah, I know more than a few power conference schools wondering where teams are going to play. Having two soccer and two lacrosse teams share a stadium field is a recipe for a mess. And schools don't have the medical or comms or operation staffs for another Spring championship
Streicher's 65, best ever by a Tar Heel in an NCAA regional, and red-figure rounds by Iadpluem & Southerland give UNC the lead after day one. https://t.co/u38km2hYIR #GoHeels
@WinterSportsLaw The official USOPC sport governing bodies should handle more of the sport-specific matters, but without some sort of over-arching body to coordinate calendars and the available staffing, facility, officials resources, it could get ugly real fast.
@ajd9000@al36974827@jeffborzello@PeteThamel Answered in the post you first responded to. "Duke worked with the ACC and ESPN". Obviously the ACC/ESPN gave Duke the rights in exchange for Duke agreeing to play in other ESPN events and the ACC/ESPNs scheduling decisions for Duke games. It was right there in front of you.
