@tsukimizxc@HinikuMsS@JDelikwent@blacknredtext 1.engine was never developed for fps
2. Was developed with witcher in mind so the vehicles were like a completely new thing
3. Big crowds werenโt the bread and butter of the engine, in witcher games every npc is placed by hand
@meapyboy1234567@SwiiLive If every texture is the same ugly texture, you forget what to replace it with. While if u have normal placeholders (thise could be just single color, but the naming should be right. And for testing purposes u need smt presentable.
@ThrowawayA55057@Foxman671 But it should represent whatโs supposed to be there, else youโll have no idea cuz everything has the missing_texture texture. Also u wont know by the time it comes to textures what textures u need
@mutoh_VT@sheluvs_mars@SwiiLive I know the vibes im going for, but idk if i will actually convey the vibes. If i have a stone ph texture tho and it doesnt fit then i change it to my wood ph and it fits so much more, iโll use that
@benmcoleman@egebasoner Okay so, to visually represent your stupidity because I'm petty, here's what my game would CURRENTLY look like if I followed the original post like you're suggesting.
Nobody would want to see or play this
@BellaInTheGame@benmcoleman@egebasoner I always have a placeholder folder, so i just compate the contents of the two. The changing of textures is then done by setting the path variable of the folder to the final one. If textures are missing then i use such a pink black texture TO SEE if i havent replaced my phs
@Foxman671 Iโve been in this posts comment section for too long. Those people never developed anything in their lives. They canโt imagine how much of a nothing burger it is if everything looks the same. Literally cant even test collision correctly
