Clearing up Clearing Myths!
MYTH: “People will judge you for going through Clearing.”
TRUTH: No one’s got time for that.
Everyone’s too busy starting uni life to care how you got there.
Clearing is just another way in — and if it’s your way, own it.

Clearing up Clearing Myths!
MYTH: “Only ‘bad’ unis use Clearing.”
TRUTH: Wrong.
Great universities — including Russell Groups — offer courses through Clearing every year.
Spaces open up for all sorts of reasons, and it’s all about opportunity, not quality.

MYTH: “Clearing is total chaos!”
TRUTH: Only if you’re unprepared.
Results Day can feel intense, but if you do a bit of prep — research your options and have your info ready — it’s straightforward.
This isn’t the Hunger Games. It’s just a phone call.

MYTH: “Clearing is only for people who failed.”
TRUTH: Not true.
People use Clearing for loads of reasons — changing their mind, applying late, doing better than expected, or coming back after a gap year.
Clearing isn’t rejection, it’s redirection. Same destination, different route.

Clearing has a lot of myths around it.
Throughout this week, we’ll be busting some of the biggest misconceptions around Clearing — starting with this one 👇
MYTH: “Everyone will know you went through Clearing!”
TRUTH: They won’t.
Unless you tattoo it on your forehead (not recommended), no one will know. You’ll start uni like everyone else — same lectures, same freshers, same group chats.
Clearing isn’t a label, it’s just your way in. What matters is where you’re going, not how you got there.
