@Zglennevere on Daniel Horowitz today. How can a state as ruby red as Idaho not get basic immigration reform bills passed?
Because Idaho’s legislature is controlled by massive special interest groups.
Vote for real conservative republicans on May 19!
Sen. Christy Zito, D8
Rep. Faye Thompson, D8
Rep. Lucas Cayer, D11
Rep. Kent Marmon, D11
Sen. Glenneda Zuiderveld, D24
Rep. Clint Hostetler, D24
Sen. Josh Kohl, D25
Rep. David Leavitt, D25
If you’ve been following the headlines, you’ve probably heard that Idaho “cut education” in 2026. That’s not what actually happened. Nearly 49% of Idaho’s General Fund goes to K-12 public schools, and the only K-12 reductions were due to declining enrollment, which affected the funding formula.
The criticism is really about IDLA.
After a rapid COVID-era expansion, IDLA was scaled back and refocused on its core services: graduation requirement courses, advanced classes, rural access, and credit recovery.
Rural schools were not harmed.

In a legislature more moderate than most Idahoans realize, the Gang of Eight went into the 2026 session with a clear plan: hold the line on spending, defend Idaho values, and put Idaho families first. We became the most consistent voice for real reform.

I will actively oppose and work to overturn any ballot initiative that seeks to legalize abortion. I believe in the sanctity of life, not as a political slogan, but as a fundamental duty of government. If we fail to protect the most vulnerable among us, then we have failed in our responsibility as a society.
Idaho State Senate candidate Scott Herndon (@HerndonforIdaho) discusses whether he would overturn the abortion initiative were it to pass in November. #idleg#idpol
Public service comes with real responsibility, and at times, real cost.
I wrote this to explain a principle that often goes unspoken, and why it matters for those who choose to serve without compromise.

This isn’t hypothetical.
The letter to her husband BigAg confirms customers asked he be removed specifically because of her political role.
Not performance. Politics.
An Idaho lawmaker says she’s being pressured financially for supporting E-Verify and opposing illegal immigration.
If true, it explains everything:
Support enforcement → pressure
Majority-backed bills → no hearings
This isn’t about policy.
It’s about who runs the system.

Disappointing to see a co-sponsor use his position as chairman to hold a bill that belonged to all of its co-sponsors, the body as a whole, and the citizens who supported it.
I’m proud of my colleagues who stood on principle and attempted to call the bill out of committee. Idahoans deserve transparency, not backroom negotiations.
Senate Rule 14(e) was used today as Senator Zito called for H745 "No More Taxpayer Dollars for Teacher's Unions" to be brought from Senator Foreman's committee drawer to the floor for a vote.
Senator Foreman explanation to hold this crucial? "Promising negotiations and work with the teacher's union."
How do you think those negotiations will end up for Idaho taxpayers and families?
The Idaho House voted 41–27–2 to strengthen cooperation with ICE.
The bill requires Idaho law enforcement agencies to apply to partner with ICE through the 287(g) program, helping identify and transfer removable offenders in local jails.
Despite strong support in the House, Pro Tem Kelly Anthon sent the bill to Senate State Affairs, where it is unlikely to receive a hearing.
Rep. @clintforidaho lays out why this bill matters.
Idaho should cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. Contact the Chair of Senate State Affairs, Senator Jim Guthrie, at 208-332-1326 and ask him to give H659 a hearing.
Goal #22 of communism:
"Discredit culture by degrading artistic expression. Eliminate beauty and replace it with shapeless and meaningless forms."
A godless ideology always attacks the foundations of faith.
Christianity cherishes beauty, meaning, and truth. This is why communism works to erase them.

I showed up just to sign the banner. That’s all I intended to do.
But after listening to Charlie Kirk’s memorial and seeing the moment take shape, I went home, changed, and came back with a speech I thought I’d never give.
I wasn’t dressed for a stage. I didn’t look polished. But I spoke anyway.
And now, I get to share it with you.
