Residence Inn by Marriott near LAX has been placed in receivership after its owner defaulted on a roughly $45 million CMBS loan.

Owner Seaview consented to the receivership and has expressed intent to “hand back the keys.”

Of the $2.21 billion in non-defeased conduit CMBS office loans that matured in Q1, 68% failed to pay off on time highlighting ongoing office market distress.

Loan to value of 170%.

"Office loans that failed to pay off at maturity exhibited materially weaker credit profiles with an average KBRA loan-to-value (KLTV) of 170% based on our proprietary collateral values,” KBRA reported.

Garden Grove Chemical Incident - Update
My post below explains what can happen if the tank reaches over 100 degrees, something also to note is the tanks gauge does not go above 100 degrees.

Temperature of unstable chemical tank climbs to over 100 degrees, OCFA says.

The Orange County Fire Authority says the internal temperature of an unstable chemical tank at GKN Aerospace is now over 100 degrees.

Officials don't know how far over 100 degrees the temperature has climbed because the gauge doesn't read higher than 100, the OCFA said.

Eyewitness News asked what temperature would trigger an explosion, but the OCFA did not have an answer. Despite the temperature, officials say they do not believe there are any contaminants currently leaking from the tank.
