MUNICH — According to UOJ sources, the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) has canonized Hieromonk Seraphim Rose as a saint. This was first reported by UOJ-Germany.

The decision was reportedly made during Monday's deliberations by the sobor and remains unofficial until a statement is issued by ROCOR. Tentatively, Fr. Seraphim is the first U.S.-born saint of ROCOR and the first American convert to be numbered among the saints.

I wanted to inform you that there is already an established Bitcoin fork called @eCash , with the official ticker symbol XEC.

Quick Facts:
- eCash (XEC) originated as a hard fork of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on November 15, 2020 (at block 661,648). At the time of the fork, it was known as Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHA).

- In July 2021 (specifically July 1, 2021 at 12:00 UTC), Bitcoin Cash ABC officially rebranded to eCash and the token was renamed from BCHA to XEC. This included a redenomination where 1 BCHA = 1,000,000 XEC (to improve usability by reducing the number of decimal places). No blockchain swap occurred — it was a straightforward rebrand of the existing chain.

- eCash is not a new project. It is the direct continuation of the Bitcoin ABC client, which itself traces back to the original 2017 Bitcoin Cash fork from Bitcoin (BTC).

Key Details & Leadership:
The project is led by Amaury Séchet (X handle: @deadalnix), the same developer who was the lead maintainer of Bitcoin ABC and played a major role in the creation of Bitcoin Cash.

The network focuses on fast, low-cost peer-to-peer electronic cash, with added features like Avalanche consensus for faster finality and staking.
