@ShesDionneBrown The boarder areas also give you both the city and burb advantages, but not as close to amenities. Of course the north side of Houston feels more distant from the city and then suburbs are further. Being such a big city, living in Houston can also feel distant from dwntown.

@ShesDionneBrown Pearland is a southern sub of Houston, ant 20 minutes from downtown during non traffic hours. Not a business developed as Katy, but nice. Sugarland is s.west of Houston and about 35 or 45 min from downtown- more like Katy.

@ShesDionneBrown It is a suburb of Houston, so basically it is the "Greater Houston area". Depending on what you are looking for it is nice/okay. Traditionally it was abt families who wanted to escape the city life/culture. I have lived in H-town 42 years - Katy is either loved or🤷🏾‍♀️
