@PatrickSettle@dequesystems@wilcofiers Also, we have some features in the works that will help with this...you will soon have more control over how needs review issues show up! I will post an update on this thread when that ships (should be very soon).
@PatrickSettle@dequesystems This might be a bug. I know axe-core has some logic to determine the stacking context (https://t.co/0Y1LpKEZhO) maybe @wilcofiers could clarify? I'd also be curious to see if axe Pro's automatic color contrast reviewer resolves this for you.
@dequesystems This issue is fixed now. v4.29.1 is the patch release containing the fix and should be rolling out to everyone today! Sorry for the inconvenience
We just released a new feature in the axe DevTools browser extension! Our machine learning algorithms now determine if any “needs review” color contrast issues from an automatic scan are, in fact, #a11y issues or not. #GAAD2022

Some cool new axe DevTools Pro features to celebrate #GAAD https://t.co/SRYQ0n1J9D
Well TBH, we were going to do this anyway...but did you know? If you had a previously expired trial for #AxeDevToolsPro it has automatically been extended!

In celebration of @gbla11yday, we're releasing a new browser extension feature that helps to address the most common #a11y violation. Join us on 5/24 to see a demo of this exciting axe DevTools Pro feature that's coming soon.
