@Alwayssunny1621@atletiuniverse I would never call him a liability or anything disparaging to be honest , people forget how excited the fan base were when he came , and people forget how fantastic he was for us that first year or two, anytime he’s worn rhe shirt hes given 100%. Injuries are beyond his control
@Alwayssunny1621@atletiuniverse I actually like him as a player and I think Mikel does too , even for carabou games he could lead the line as experience in a young side. He’s popular with the squad and a model professional around the place , all I’m saying really is if he does stay it wouldn’t be an awful thing
@_Afcbanks I look at it as being an excellent window in all honesty , guimaraes what a fantastic signing. Konsa will be great for us , and unearthed a gem and already fan favourite in tzolis. Looks like we’ll get a record fee for a sale and moved a couple on, i think really good work berta
@Arsenal I love Highbury, I loved when the ckub had photoshoots there with trophies under Arsene , would love them to do more work in and around Highbury.
@ArsenalVPodcast I think the mindset now regarding transfers is ‘if Mikel wants him, i want him’ . Look at the fantastic job Mikel has done in terms of shaping a squad. I just don’t doubt his judgement now , and if he’s all in on Alvarez and believes he’s the one .. then I’m all for it.
@David_Ornstein@TheAthleticFC He looks a really talented player with a lot of potential, i think it’s a good signing .I would have liked him at Arsenal if I’m being honest .
@timstillman_ Agreed ,he was playing well at the time. A nice lad with a lot of talent , he’s just never really had a long run of being a regular in a side. Hopefully that changes for him now and he gets to show his talent .
Liverpool spend £800M in 18 months - No problem.
Chelsea spend £500M every window - No problem.
City spend £700M in 12 months - No problem.
Spurs spend £1B in 3 years - No problem.
Arteta spends £1B in 7 years - Problem.
The double standards are hilarious.
This is a diplomatic THREAT.
So if City are found guilty, this may affect diplomatic relations between the UAE and Britain? From investment, trade or maybe even security?
Threatening this is an attempt to recruit the British government into influencing an independent football process. And it must be investigated and the government must confirm whether UAE representatives have ever raised this with ministers, officials or diplomats.
This is a slippery slope and we cannot allow state owned clubs to become harder to punish and football sanctions to become diplomatic disputes.
