1/n We analyse some of the recent filings of $OKLO today. OKLO has been in the news recently as one of its board members Chris Wright was just nominated by Trump to be the U.S. Secretary of Energy.
The stock further got attention as Sam Altman is the chairman of the board.
There has to be a sustainable way to reduce your baseline dopamine levels. But the place people are trying to find that out is on X, Insta, Youtube etc. The irony.
Great timing by the Raj Scamami guy to get Bill Gates on his podcast. I am getting ads on spotify with him asking Bill Gates some fluff questions. Need to monitor his podcast now. Anyone famous who is coming on is basically doing proactive PR crisis management.
Uber Launches Kiosks for Ride Booking Without the App in NY's LaGuardia Airport - Looks like Uber will end up round tripping to being a traditional taxi operator - the exact model that they wanted to disrupt in the first place ๐คฃ

I completed my study of SME stocks in the Furniture and Home Furnishings sector. Interesting finds and some good companies to watchout for.

Started a series on Substack on the hunt for multibaggers from the universe of Indian SME stocks. Where else can you find bangers like this from an investor concall.
The UK Student visa numbers were just beyond belief. People selling ancestral land and spending beyond their means to do a 1 year remote course in tier 2/3 colleges in order to get their family in the UK to work as low skilled labour.
Better way to look at this is take the sum for 2022 to 2024. It comes to a ratio of almost 1.5 Dependent for every Applicant under the Health and Care Worker visa. How did the government let it happen for 3+ years is beyond belief.
Another interesting stat from the recent whitepapers on immigration in the UK. From 2022 the number of visas issued to Dependents in the Health and Care Worker visas was way more than the number of Main Applicants and on the rise. From a ratio of 1:1 to 1:3 in 2024
If this was helpful I have made https://t.co/xI9zUCMWxe to track how many Skilled visas were sponsored by UK companies in the past - highly recommend for job seekers and recruiters.
UK just released a 82 page white paper titled "Restoring Control over the Immigration System"
It highlights key changes to immigration rules and policies. A thread below on what changes are proposed for high skilled immigrants ๐
So overall seems like a good move to discourage low skilled immigration but might come at the cost of highly skilled immigrants.
This white paper would now be sent to parliament for a vote where the details should be shared before this becomes a legislation. So we need to wait instead of worrying. Can't really do much.
