To the Esteemed Unions and Government of Sweden,
I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the ongoing efforts to pressure #Tesla into unionizing its workforce in Sweden. While I understand the importance of unions and their role in protecting the rights of workers, I believe that the current approach being taken is misguided and could have detrimental consequences for both Tesla and Sweden as a whole.
Tesla, as a global company with a strong reputation for innovation and efficiency, has built its success on a foundation of non-unionized labor. This model has allowed the company to remain nimble, adaptable, and competitive in a rapidly changing industry. Demanding that Tesla abandon this model in favor of unionized labor would represent a significant departure from the company's core principles and could undermine its ability to thrive in the global marketplace.
Moreover, setting a precedent of forcing foreign companies to adopt Swedish union practices could have a chilling effect on future investment in Sweden. Businesses, both domestic and international, may become hesitant to establish operations in a country where labor relations are unpredictable and subject to arbitrary demands. This could lead to a decline in economic activity and job opportunities for Swedish workers.
In addition to these economic concerns, the current unionization efforts could also accelerate the development of automated technologies that could replace human workers. As unions push for higher wages and stricter working conditions, companies will be increasingly motivated to seek alternatives that are more cost-effective and less susceptible to unionization. This could lead to a significant loss of jobs in the automotive industry and other sectors that rely on human labor.
I urge the unions and the government of Sweden to tread very carefully in their dealings with Tesla. While the protection of workers' rights is undoubtedly important, it must not come at the expense of Sweden's economic competitiveness and its ability to attract foreign investment. A more constructive approach would be to engage in dialogue with Tesla to find common ground and solutions that benefit both the company and its employees.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, james

@songadaymann I agree with the premise. But there is a nuance to this and other conflicts. While military members are not blameless, the collaboration between political “leadership” and the propaganda machine is where (I think) the focus should be. Have a song that captures this?
If we regulated air travel the way we regulate nuclear energy, only the wealthiest 1% would be able to fly and thousands more would be dead on our roadways.
If we're serious about following the science let's start w/overhauling our approach to nuclear energy.
Liz Warren's "crypto army" is out targeting bitcoin (market cap of $500BN) for illicit money transfers, and laundering, meanwhile the Pentagon can only account for 39% of its $3.5 trillion in assets and racked up $35 trillion in accounting changes in just one year

Last night Ledger accidentally leaked some info on their new recovery subscription service, and today they revealed the details.
Let's walk through their proposed "solution" to cryptocurrency custody and how dangerous it is.
@RaoulGMI@TechDev_52 Not a game set by our ‘overlords’, but we are being watched by our children. What message should we send the descendants of humanity? This may be a good one…

I hope some of you understand with the rate that inflation is going, $400k will be the new $100k and most of your end up paying an increase tax on this.
Lol.
@nlw That’s like asking a cave man to provide recommendations aviation safety. The people need to leverage the tools available (AI/LLM/social media) to coordinate and drive a discourse to arrive at a consensus on where SOCIETY wants these tools to go.
@nlw ‘Everyone’ is currently waiting for ‘leadership’ to ‘do something’. But what can they seriously do? They are just getting around to understanding the impact of the internet and social media on society.
