just the tweets of a lady with MDD/GAD. possibly misdiagnosed. probably caffeinated. generally sleepy. TW: mental health concerns may be talked about here.
Traveling international is expensive. Tickets, lodging, food. Hell, lodging isn’t even an issue for the first reason I wanted a passport.
My whole take on this is that if your org isn’t going to fund the whole trip, you’re really just giving that person an ID.
TIL (tangentially through a hot mess of someone getting canceled for being an attention seeking jerk) that there’s a non-profit that wants to provide low income families w/ passports.
As someone who grew up pretty broke & w/ a reason to travel, the passport was never the issue.
@phillyliquorlaw It does seem like a hard sell to people, considering international travel is so expensive.
Also, she donated $150… which doesn’t even cover the cost of a passport
@phillyliquorlaw Learned about this hot mess via some article on FB. Went down the rabbit hole & became curious about that 501c. Their goal is to help low income families get passports. I couldn’t find any info about their outcomes since opening in 2020– seems sus. But … 1/2
@arkulari We’ll see how it goes. I keep getting recommended Musky’s tweets even though I find them irrelevant to my life. I don’t get any useful notifs from Twitter and hoping threads isn’t the same.
I’ve had my discourse of the day. He’s saying that he’s not using lefty as a slur and that I’m seeing something where there’s nothing. I never mentioned my political affiliation.
